LPPC Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct explains how to participate in LPPC with respect and safety. It applies to meetings, Discord, WhatsApp, public activities, and any space connected to the community.
The idea is simple: LPPC should be a good place to study, make mistakes, learn, compete, and collaborate.
Respect And Coexistence
All people must be treated with respect. LPPC does not accept discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or personal attacks.
Technical discussions may be firm. Even so, they should focus on arguments, evidence, and learning. Correcting someone should help improve a solution, not embarrass the person.
People, Companies, And Institutions
Many people come to LPPC through schools, universities, companies, or regional groups. Those names should be treated with care in public statements and community channels.
Competitive rivalry should work as healthy motivation. LPPC does not accept offenses against people, companies, or institutions.
Authorship And Study Integrity
LPPC values reasoning, trying, making mistakes, reviewing, and discussing. Anyone who presents a solution should be able to explain the main ideas, implementation choices, and limitations.
Copying without understanding, hiding sources, or presenting someone else’s work as your own harms learning. Discussing solutions is welcome when there is authorship, honesty, and a real wish to learn.
Use Of Generative AI
Generative AI tools may support study. They can help review concepts, suggest readings, or compare approaches after a real attempt.
They must not replace the logical, mathematical, and algorithmic reasoning that each participant needs to develop.
LPPC does not accept an AI-made solution as a substitute for human work in understanding, modeling, and implementation. If a tool played an important role in preparing a solution, say so clearly.
The central criterion is simple: the person must understand, justify, and defend the solution they present.
Security Environments
In the cybersecurity track, practice only in authorized environments, personal labs, or training platforms.
LPPC does not support intrusions, tests without permission, or any conduct that violates laws, institutional rules, or other people’s rights.
Enforcement
Disrespectful situations may lead to guidance, warning, message removal, participation restriction, or exclusion from LPPC channels.
The response should consider the gravity of the case, the protection of the people involved, and the preservation of the study environment.
